With love and gratitude, we remember Frank Smith, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. As a former teacher, Frank’s love for education and sharing the gospel was at the heart of his life’s work. Alongside his wife Annette, he founded Peterborough Christian Books over 45 years ago.

The shop became more than just a business; it was a mission—an extension of Frank’s lifelong desire to share Jesus and the gospel with others. Frank never truly retired—he continued to serve in various capacities, always driven by his passion for reaching people with the good news. Frank served faithfully in the Diocese of Peterborough for many years. His involvement in the Diocesan Board of Education spanned over three decades, where he served as Vice Chair for more than ten years and was deeply involved in resource management. He also gave many years of service as Lay Chair of Peterborough Deanery, offering leadership, wisdom, and support to the local church community. Frank’s legacy is one of faith, service, and an enduring love for the gospel and the people he served. He touched so many lives through his work, his kindness, and his example. We are thankful for the time we had with him and will carry forward his mission to share God’s love with others. Frank Smith was a founding trustee of CROPS, dedicated to sharing the gospel and supporting young people in schools. His passion for this work never wavered, and his legacy continues to inspire. In honour of Frank’s lifelong commitment, we invite you to donate to CROPS in his memory. Your gift will help continue the work he cared so deeply about, reaching and supporting young people with the hope of Jesus.
